March 7, 2010 we were blessed with the arrival of Brooklyn Marie Vance. She was beautiful! I could see, however, that there was something dark on her head/forehead. She was still covered in gunk that I didn't really think anything of it. The doctor said it's a birthmark. No biggy, I thought, because her hair will grow and you won't be able to see it. The next morning the doctor said that it's like a mole, but it will turn malignant so it has to be removed. She said it's a "hairy nevi".
There's not really anything online about hairy nevi's. All we found was a site with some statistics, that's it! The doctor said that we'll be referred to a plastic surgeon who would remove it in a few years. So now we just wait...
